Who is the course for?
Are you looking for theological training that:
- explores in-depth biblical, theological, cross-cultural & mission issues?
- enables you to turn theory into practice through practical placements?
- provides a learning environment that stretches your thinking and allows time for personal reflection and growth?
Our Degree students come from a wide variety of ages and backgrounds. Many of our international students are already in full-time Christian work and want to receive further training, while our UK students are all ages, from just completing A-levels to mature students.
"The Degree course has re-centred my theology from my perception of God to gaining a bigger picture of God’s perception of me. The variety of backgrounds that people bring to college offers a unique learning experience and lectures are a challenge to explore the insights of others and develop our own opinions." (student)
Course structure...
In the first two years as a Degree student you will follow the same module and course content as the Certificate and Diploma, choosing modules from a diverse range of biblical, theological and missiological subjects as well as practical and language studies.
In your third year you will have access to a further choice of modules, not available at Certificate and Diploma level. In addition, you will complete a 10,000-word exposition on an Applied Theology topic that you have selected, researched and analysed.
"At Redcliffe I have appreciated the lively discussion with the tutors. Being able to agree, disagree, and talk with people from all over the world has been very helpful." (student)
Practical Mission Placements...
Our placement programme forms an integral part of the Redcliffe experience and provides students with unique opportunities to turn theory into practice.
Degree students are able to benefit from three annual block placements, each of around six weeks in length. Our Director of Placements will help you find the right placement - in this country or abroad.

Annual placements are a great opportunity to explore existing areas of interest or to get involved in something entirely new. You can read more placement articles by visiting our Mission Placements section.
"Redcliffe helped me to find my vocation, particularly through the placements. I feel greatly privileged to have come to Redcliffe and to have had my life changed." (student)
Life after Redcliffe...
After three years at Redcliffe life can bring many new and exciting challenges. A large number of our Degree students have gone on to do remarkable works for God in truly diverse roles in the UK and around the world, which include...
