 Christine Lewis Crèche Supervisor
Christine holds an NVQ3 in Early Years Care and Education and is responsible for running the college crèche. Her role involves making sure that the children enjoy themselves in a safe environment, while working closely with the parents to establish a good rapport. Christine is also responsible for ensuring that the facility is run in line with current legislation (The Children Act & OFSTED).
Christine was born in Cardiff, but has lived in Gloucester for more than thirty years. She is married to Tim (Bursar) and they have 4 grown up children – three daughters and a son.
Christine attends Hillview Evangelical Church and helps run a midweek children's club for school years 1-4, including organising all the craft activities for the club.
Christine’s hobbies include ‘arts & crafts’ such as sewing, knitting, cross-stitch and card making. She also likes to watch cookery programmes on the TV and trying out new and interesting food recipes from different cultures and countries.
Christine’s greatest achievement was in gaining her NVQ3, which meant that she could run the college crèche. She says that she feels her calling from God is to work with the parents and children - and watching the children growing and developing gives her great pleasure and joy.
