Children's Ministry Course

Children's Ministry Course
Interactive workshops to resource those working with children

In partnership with Scripture Union

Four Saturdays between September and November 2008
9.45am to 4.30pm

Jesus affirmed children, telling his disciples to welcome them and not turn them away.

Now in its fifth year, Redcliffe's popular Children's Ministry course gives present day disciples the tools and skills they need to affirm and welcome children, and introduce Jesus to them.

Each day covers a different aspect of working with children, with the concluding session exploring 'worship' as it relates to children and ourselves. The programme includes plenary sessions, seminars about 'core topics' and a choice of workshops.

Taught by experienced children's workers, the course is a useful 'refresher' for those already in children’s ministry. It is also provides a comprehensive overview for those thinking about working with children in the future. Participants can choose to do the full course or any number of the four days available.

20 September:   The World of the Child

11 October:       Caring for the Child

8 November:      Outreach to the Child

29 November:    Leading the Child

The cost is £20 per day or £65 for all four days if booked in advance. Discounts are available for group bookings.

A two-course hot lunch can be provided at a cost of £3 per person. Alternatively you can bring a packed lunch (drinks will be provided).
