 Mission Latin America
If you have a passion to work in Latin America, Redcliffe can provide the first step, through course modules such as Liberation Theology, Contextualised Theology and Roman Catholicism.
We also provide mission training with a Latin American focus for a number of Latin Link Striders, with a week of orientation in September and the option of staying at Redcliffe for a term to prepare. Our Head of Biblical Studies, Richard Johnson and his wife Tricia, have spent time in Latin America with Latin link, and Tricia is a member of their Personnel Committee.
While several former students are doing significant work in Latin America, we also prepare people from Latin America for mission in their own countries and around the world.
Our global vision includes partnering with mission organisations working in specific regions. Through our links with The Peace and Hope Trust, Nicaraguan students are enabled to study at Redcliffe before returning to be part of significant projects in their own country.
"God used my time at Redcliffe to prepare me more fully for my year in Ecuador. It gave me a firmer base from which to start and got me more 'sparked' about theology, about going deeper into the Bible and into biblical issues, not just as an aid to going overseas short-term but as a life-long endeavour. Of course, as well as all the study, I encountered a very rich living environment and was incredibly blessed by all the friendships formed in such a short space of time. I would thoroughly recommend going to Redcliffe!" (Joanna, former student)
