 Non-Residential Students
Whilst we encourage our students to make the most of community life by living in Redcliffe accommodation, we recognise that some students do not feel suited to living in a large community for a variety of reasons.
Students choosing to live out of college are still very much part of the community and take part in meal times (in particular the midday meal when staff, students and their families and visitors have lunch together), community groups, devotions and social events.
If you are offered and accept a place at Redcliffe and are considering the non-residential option, you will be given a fact sheet which includes details of estate agents and property rental prices in and around Gloucester.
"My wife and I chose to live outside of college and found a house about a mile from Redcliffe. We tried to be a part of the college community as much as possible by regularly having lunch with everybody, inviting folk back to our house for meals and taking part in some of the evening social events. There are pros and cons to being a non-resident and it is not for everyone. However, it worked for us with a 1 year old son and we would recommend it." (Non-residential student)
