Postgraduate MA
in Global Leadership in Intercultural Contexts

This unique course is for students already working in or preparing for a leadership position. The course will equip you to appreciate and meet the challenges of leading a global team. It will also give you the knowledge and understanding you need to shape an organisation to function effectively amid the ever-changing challenges of the global world. The optional module allows you to understand more deeply the context in which you work, be it global or regional.

The MA in Global Leadership in Intercultural Contexts Modules PDF Download provides a comprehensive overview of the modules available on this course. Students complete three required modules* and choose one further module.

* Method and Content in Missiological Study: Develop your competence in research methods at postgraduate level and gain an overview of Missiology.

* An Introduction to Global Leadership: Enhance your skills for the demands of senior leadership in intercultural contexts.

* Organisational Development and Cultural Change: Develop the ability to critique an organisation’s structure and culture, and create a conscious change of strategy.

The Mission of the Church in the Context of Post-colonialism and Globalisation: Critically study Christian mission in response to the shift from colonialism to post-colonialism, and globalisation.

Crucial Issues in Asian Mission and Theology: Explore the issues and theological responses through missiology and cultural studies. Develop an awareness of the diversity of Asian peoples and contexts.

Crucial Issues in European Mission and Theology: Explore the particularities of European contexts and identities. Consider how they influence your understanding of other religions and cultures as you engage in Christian mission in Europe.

Note: This MA is subject to validation by the University of Gloucestershire. The planned start date is September 2009.

"Too many people leave mission because of toxic leadership or are asked to fill leadership roles without the necessary training; too many leaders do not understand the complexities of leading in a global environment. This MA uniquely relates your experience and context to your studies and gives you the skills to operate effectively." Bob Moffett, Panahpur Trust

Studying part time over two years...

Studying the MA part time allows you to study exactly the same curriculum as the full time qualification. The compulsory modules are studied during the first year. The second year includes the optional modules and completion of the dissertation.
