Mission is increasingly global in nature - and Redcliffe's global mission focus has many aspects.
Our quarterly Encounters Mission Journal has a global readership and the themed issues discuss a wide variety of issues in mission including the emerging church, to the Psalms and mission, the environment and resourcing Asian mission movements.
Redcliffe principal, Rob Hay, is a WEA Mission Commission Associate, and involved in organising events and leading task forces in specialist areas such as leadership. Rob Hay edited 'Worth Keeping' a WEA Mission Commission publication focusing on the issues of retention in a global missions context.
Redcliffe is also involved in consulting and advising strategically to mission agency leadership and boards.
Many of our modules at undergraduate and postgraduate have global mission themes, recognising the interconnectedness of today's globalised world. Examples include The Christian encounter with postmodernism and globalisation, and Everybody to everywhere: historical and contemporary mission movements, both of which are available on our Diploma and Degree in Applied Theology in Intercultural Contexts courses.
Several of our MA courses have particular global themes, including our MA in Global Issues in Contemporary Mission, MA in Bible and Mission, and MA in Global Leadership in Intercultural Contexts. The latter is particularly focused on the challenges of leading a multi-cultural team within a global mission organisation.
