Head of Mission Studies and Academic DeanHugh joined Redcliffe in 2011 from New Zealand. He grew up in India in a missions family (Interserve) and later served in Mongolia in church planting and Theological Education by Extension. In his role as Academic Dean, Hugh ensures the academic programme runs smoothly and is kept relevant and up-to-date through a process of continual review and development. He also liaises with the University of Gloucestershire, who validate Redcliffe's courses.
Hugh has a teaching and research interest in Christian mission in Asia (MTh) and Buddhism in the West (PhD). Hugh was the Dean of Studies at the Manawatu Regional Centre of Bible College of New Zealand (now Laidlaw College) between 1999 and 2005. More recently he taught in the College of Humanities at Massey University, New Zealand.
Hugh is married to Karen (who grew up in Chile) and they have three daughters. Hugh enjoys hiking, supports the All Blacks, and can cook a mean curry.
