Leadership

news article image

Leadership is a complex and demanding task drawing on a vast array of skills and knowledge.  Few of us are naturally blessed with all the abilities we need to lead well.  The good news is that there is plenty we can learn - from leadership theory, practical experience, observation and feedback - and from each other.

Lead On...

...is a course for church and mission agency leaders and leadership teams who want to invest in future effectiveness through leadership development. The course has been used in training over 200 leaders from around the world. It is based on Adair’s task-team-individual leadership model, with an important additional focus on our own leadership journey and some of the internal aspects that affect our leadership.

The learning environment is interactive, discursive and practical environment for learning, with a strong emphasis on practice, observation and feedback, and learning from each other.

Course structure:

The course consists of three key modules. Each module is held over four days and learning is greatest if the same people can commit to attending to all three modules.

2013 Dates

  • 11-15 February: Leading people through teamwork
  • 29 April-2 May:  Lifelong leadership development
  • 1-5 July:            Project management (please note change from previously  advertised dates)

Size of group:

Ideally at least 3 people from your organisation will take part. Although it is possible for people to attend one or two modules, the learning experience is much greater if people attend all three.

Cost:

£1200 per participant for all three modules, or £450 per module, including full board accommodation in single study bedrooms with shared bathrooms. Course materials are supplied.
