If you are planning to work abroad during your gap year, our twelve-week
Across the Cultures short course will give you the essential skills for living and working in a different culture.
You can also prepare by studying for 6 or more weeks on our
Pick and Mix course. You can come to Redcliffe at any time during the year, and experience living in our vibrant multicultural community as you prepare for your time abroad. You can choose from a wide range of study options and learn alongside people from around the world.

Our one year
Certificate in Applied Theology in Intercultural Contexts combines study with weekly mission placements in the local community, giving you excellent biblical, cross cultural and mission training and experience. You will also try out your skills on what could be a life-changing experience by undertaking a six-week
mission placement. Our placement coordinator will offer support and advice to help you find the right placement.
Ellie spent her gap year at Redcliffe before studying law at Oxford:
The course was really interesting and helped consolidate my faith. The idea of doing placements also interested me – I could study, travel
and get to know people all over the world who were also studying at Redcliffe.
