Practical mission placements

Through placements, students learn more about themselves and find they are challenged and stretched – leading to a deeper relationship with God as they rely on him more and experience the power of prayer in their lives. Placements are also a great opportunity for them to explore God’s future calling on their lives. Ruth Adamson, Placement Director

Locally...

Redcliffe’s location in a multi-ethnic city means that cross-cultural interaction is possible on our doorstep and weekly placements enable you to have a ministry in the local community. This could be assisting and befriending refugees at the local drop-in centre, witnessing to young offenders at Gloucester and Leyhill prisons, supporting Asian mothers at a local family centre or outreach to international students in Cheltenham.

Worldwide...

Our Certificate, Diploma and BA(Hons) in Applied Theology in Intercultural Contexts courses enable you to experience the world beyond Gloucester in your annual 6 week placement. This can be anywhere in the world and in any type of Christian ministry. Drawing on our links with over 50 agencies, we will help you find the right assignment that will develop your particular gifts and interests.  You will take part in both orientation and debriefing sessions which help prepare you for your placement and assist you in reflecting on your experiences.
