The whole flexible package appealed to me. I would encourage someone to recognise that further study is a very positive way to expand one’s understanding of God’s mission on earth and how we can participate within this.                                                                Jim, mission partner with Oasis Global, and flexible learning MA student

We offer two types of flexible learning - summer school, and long weekend.

Flexible learning summer school

The 3 week residential summer school takes place in May. Students attend for the first 2 years of their course, and study two modules each year.

The summer schools provide students with an intensive period of seminars along with the time they need for reading and collecting relevant material. Throughout the rest of the year, students complete their reading and assignments, and their personal study is complemented by email support from tutors. The dissertation must normally be submitted within 12 - 18 months of completing the second academic year.

Flexible learning long weekends

The long weekend option is ideal for people based in the UK or Europe, who are able to attend the college for several intensive sessions during the year, including missionaries on sabbatical, or mission personnel based in Europe.

The teaching takes place during four long weekends (Friday evening - Monday) spaced throughout the year. There is also time for reading and collecting relevant material. Students undertake personal study and complete assignments throughout the year, with email support from tutors. The dissertation must normally be submitted within 12-18 months of completing the second academic year.

Dates for the 2012-13 flexible learning weekends are
    Friday 5 - Monday 8 October 2012
    Friday 7 – Monday 10 December 2012
    Friday 22 – Monday  25  Feb 2013
    Friday 17 – Monday 20 May 2013

MAs available on the long weekend option are:

Working full-time and studying part-time is a challenge however I have found all the modules in the Global Leadership MA relevant to daily issues I grapple with in leading OM UK.  I highly recommend this course especially if you are a busy CEO. Gary Sloan, OM UK Director

Flexible learning students are welcome to stay at the college at any time outwith the residential intensive periods, and use the college library facilities. A small additional charge applies for accommodation.
