Redcliffe's academic year begins in September of each year and ends in June the following year.
Recliffe's academic year consists of three semesters:
- Semester one runs between September and December (August to December for LTL courses)
- Semester two runs between January and April
- Semester three runs between April and June and is eight weeks long. Certificate, Diploma and Degree students do their 6-week term placement during this semester then return to college for a further two weeks. The three-week MA summer school is also held during this semester.
Holidays usually fall in line with local school holidays, which helps students with families.
New students starting in September are also required to attend induction days, immediately prior to the start of the semester.
