Continuing Professional Development

The gospel never changes, but the context and practice of mission has - and is continuing to do so more quickly today than ever before.

Through Redcliffe's flexible programme of Continuing Professional Development you will have access to the latest in mission thinking. Our courses are taught by lecturers who themselves have experience on the field.

• Do you want to explore the latest developments in mission and have the opportunity to live, study and worship amongst an international community of people of all ages and backgrounds who are training for mission?

What we offer:

A flexible MA programme
Redcliffe's Flexible Learning Mode MA is a flexible distance-learning style programme. It can be studied over two to four years. It is ideal for those who want to study a Masters programme, but are unable to leave their work for extended periods of time.

The MA in Global Issues in Contemporary Mission includes modules on Postcolonialism and Globalisation, Leadership and The Greening of Mission.

The MA in Intercultural Studies in Asian Contexts allows you to gain an in-depth understanding of specific worldviews and religions in Asia and amongst Asian diaspora.

Our new MA in Global Leadership in Intercultural Contexts is a unique course is for students already working in or preparing for a leadership position. The course will equip you to appreciate and meet the challenges of leading a global team. It will also give you the knowledge and understanding you need to shape an organisation to function effectively amid the ever-changing challenges of the global world.

Pick and Mix
A very flexible option, allowing you to select modules from our Certificate and Diploma courses. You can study for as little as six weeks (one term), up to 24 weeks (4 terms), and begin at any point during the academic year. More about Pick and Mix

Across the Cultures
The 12-week Across the Cultures course allows you to select from a range of topics most specific to cross-cultural and mission issues, for example Issues and Trends in Mission and Living and Working Cross-culturally. The course provides you with a chance to study and think through the issues you are already facing in your mission context, or can help you prepare for mission in a different context. European Study Track
Key modules in this twelve-week course include European Studies, Christian Response to Secularism and New Religious Movements and Modernism and Postmodernism / Urban Mission and Church Planting. This course is ideal for those preparing for mission in Europe. It can be studied as part of the one-year Certificate course or as a short course. Experienced mission partners receiving good marks in the Europe modules will be eligible for our MA in Global Issues in Contemporary Mission. More about European study track

Supervised research
Mission partners can also undertake a period of 'supervised research' offering the opportunity to work on a project in an academic environment, away from the field and your day-to-day pressures. You can undertake literature or field research in a well-defined area and write a moderate length thesis on your findings.
