Postgraduate MSc in Sport and Christian Outreach

Sport means many things to many people, whether it's coaching, encouraging from the sidelines or lifting a trophy. And the way in which Christian organisations can connect with others through sport, is at the heart of this new and unique course.

It's an opportunity for students to find out more about working in outreach and community settings. Drawing together applied theology, sport and community development, the course offers students both campus and placement learning opportunities, helping them to analyse, critique and develop this expanding field.

Subjects covered range from Sports Mission to Contemporary Coaching Practice. If you are a graduate from a related discipline, or have a particular interest in the relationship between sport and faith, you are encouraged to apply.

Led by University of Gloucestershire and Redcliffe College staff this course is supported by a range of agencies.

These include Christians in Sport, Ambassadors in Sport, Youth for Christ and the Joseph Rank Trust, which is providing funding for bursaries to help secure full-time employment for graduates in new sports ministry settings.
