 The Asian Wave
Issue 4 Editor: Rob Hay
Ajith Fernando’s paper “What should we do be doing now?” was written to the Church in Sri Lanka, to his fellow believers. It was what he felt was God’s challenge to them in the midst of the crisis. We found his paper both challenging and humbling. It gave us a glimpse into the heart of the Church in Sri Lanka as it attempts to cope, make sense and respond. It is the Church attempting to be obedient to God at this time. It left us wondering what would the response be here in the UK to such a disaster, and also gave us an awareness that obedience is something we are called to daily, regardless of what the circumstances are.
With so many papers to choose from we have attempted to help you by putting a brief abstract at the start of each. Please read, reflect and respond. We look forward to hearing from you.
