Associate Faculty at Redcliffe

Associate Faculty

Our associate faculty programme complements the academic team at Redcliffe by involving mission scholars, practitioners and experts in their field in the delivery of a first-class, up-to the minute curriculum.  Many of our associate faculty are directly involved in front-line mission in the UK and around the globe.

Dr Peter Carruthers is an agricultural scientist for the Countryside Agency and was formerly a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Agricultural Strategy, University of Reading. He is Chairman of Agricultural Christian Fellowship, a Director/Trustee of Farm Crisis Network, and Chairman of the Christian Workplace Forum.

Rev Dr Colin Edwards teaches in the area of Islamics, particularly looking at socio-cultural aspects, interfaith dialogue and mission. Originally from New Zealand, Colin trained as a medical doctor and spent 15 years in Bangladesh with Interserve. He and his family moved to the UK in 2008 and Colin has taken up the role of Team Leader for Urban Vision, Interserve's cross cultural work within England and Wales.

Steve Hutchinson is a Development Worker with Scripture Union and based in Gloucester. He is involved in outreach in local churches, schools and children's clubs. He also organises and leads 'Lagger' holiday camps each summer. He is the author of 'Y God?' and 'Nuts and Bolts' - a guide to running holiday clubs, term-time Missions and other special events.

Richard Johnson is a Fellow of the college and teaches modules in biblical interpretation. He has an MA in Aspects of Biblical Interpretation from London Bible College (now London School of Theology) and was previously Head of Biblical Studies and Library Supervisor at Redcliffe. His love of theological books now continues through his bookselling business Qoheleth Resources.

Tricia Johnson is married to Richard and lectures in Biblical Hebrew. Tricia is a trained radiographer, counsellor and Myers Briggs assessor and has a degree in Theology and Counselling at London School of Theology. Tricia also sits on Latin Link's Personnel Committee. Visit her website Freedom Counselling.

Marion Knell is a trained teacher and has experience of caring for missionary families, while working for Arab World Ministries. She heads up the Global Connections forum on Third Culture Kids and coordinates the European Member Care Network. She is also a Justice of the Peace. She has written two books, 'Families on the Move' and 'Burn-Up or Splash Down: Surviving the Culture Shock of Re-Entry'.

Prof John Wibberley is an agriculturalist engaged in rural development in the UK and overseas, especially in Africa through RURCON (an otherwise all-African team of Christian leaders). He is also Chairman of the UK Farm Crisis Network (FCN).
